FORK-TYPE TOOLS
Were developed for the extraction of housing and contact systems, such as Junior Power Timer, DFK and Ducon that are clipped into the housing with two or more detents.

FLAT-TYPE TOOLS
Were developed for the extraction of contacts that are clipped into the housing with one detent. Examples for contact types include MQS, Metri Pack and Sicma. Many flat-type tools are also suitable for the extraction of secondary locking mechanisms.

ROUND-TYPE TOOLS
Are used for the extraction of pin and jack contacts – e.g. Mate-N-Lok or D-Sub. Here there are two different types of extraction; on one hand, extraction of the contact using spring loaded extraction tools with an ejecting mechanism; and on the other hand, extraction of the cable in which the casing must be fixed to the tool.
